Mission Statement


The purpose of the Paulsboro Wrestling Association (PWA) is two fold. The first objective of the PWA is to promote the sport of wrestling and sportsmanship throughout the towns of Paulsboro and Gibbstown, the Paulsboro High School sending district. We can best promote the sport of Wrestling by upholding the traditions of hard work, determination, self sacrifice and high achievement that has been the cornerstone of our program since the 1939-1940 season.

The second objective of the PWA is to help support the wrestlers, their coaches and staff. This includes the varsity, junior varsity and 7th and 8th grade wrestlers. We support the wrestlers and coaches with equipment, awards and a banquet along with anything else they might need. The money we raise is primarily through the concession stand at the home matches, and tournaments.

The PWA support of the wrestling program of Paulsboro must adhere to all guidelines, rules and regulations set down by the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA).

BECOME A MEMBER TODAY

Become a member of the PWA and help supprt the Paulsboro High School Wrestling Program. The wrestlers, coaches and staff work extremely hard to make this program a success but they can't do it alone. PWA dues are only $5.00 annually. Once you become a member, you will receive information on upcoming PWA events including Media Night, meetings, tournaments and fundraiders.
